Sunday school meets at 9:30AM on Sunday mornings. We currently have 14 adult classes that meet during this hour. Classrooms are located throughout the church in the Sanctuary Building, the Life Enrichment Center Building and the
Chapel Building. There are classes for every age, as well as learning style. Some are classroom-oriented and some
are discussion-based.

Builders, 007S
The Builders Class is a diverse group of mature adults with a long history at Bartlett UMC. Among our membeers are several who joined the Builders in the 1960 era when it was the class for young adults. We are equally proud to include in our numbers some who have come aboard during this year. A look at our age span is a good indicator of how diverse we are. One of our members is trying to cope with the fact that she joined the ranks of the NIFTY FIFTY YEAR OLDS earlier this year while on the other end of the spectrum we have a member who celebrates being an enthusiastic and youthful NINETY EIGHT year-old.....Among our regular attendees we include married couples as well as married individuals where only one spouse is a member. Also among our regulars we number members who are single as well as widows and widowers. Our employment status includes full time employees, and part time employees while the majoirity of our members are fully retired.If you are looking for a Sunday School Class please give us a visit. Discovery, 216C
A large active group, predominately ages 30-55. Currently we are studying "Serious Answers to Hard Questions". We enjoy discussing various issues and a variety of topics and social time together. Not handicapped accessible. |

Fidelity, 202L
The Fidelity Class has a long history with our church. We started as the Young Married, but now our ages range from 65 and up, married and single. We are devoted to learning spiritual truths, but also like to have fun with a good joke or brief story prior to beginning each class. We are the oldest active class at BUMC and our teacher, Ron Lloyd, has taught our class approximately 17 years. Like all good Methodists, we like to eat, and eat out together monthly. We have a strong fellowship which keeps us involved and active. Handicapped accessible. |

Followers, 005S
The Followers Class is an "empty-nester" class, ages 55 to 85+. We are a diverse group made up of married couples, single people, and those who attend without their spouses. Although the Bible is our focus, we incorporate it by using various study books by authors such as Bob Moore and Max Lucado. We continue with the study on "He Chose the Nails" by Max Lucado. We enjoy class participation; both in teaching and class discussion. Our class members are active participants in outreach projects such as Alzheimer's Day Care Center, Souper Tuesday, St. John's Soup Kitchen, Reelfoot Ministries, Thanksgiving baskets, Operations Christmas Child, Appalachia and others. The Followers Class is overflowing with fellowship and Christian love. Our prayer chain is ever vigilant in offering prayers or assistance for a member who is ill or in a distressful situation. Also, we enjoy the good fellowship and fun offered by our church family Once a month we have a social get together, such as pot luck, party, theater, picnic, etc. Come meet, eat and study with us. Visitors are always welcome and new members are celebrated. The coffee is always hot in Room 107C. Handicapped accessible.

Genesis is a class for 'young-ish' parents desiring life applications Bible Study. Sunday mornings are filled with friendly yet frank discussions on a variety of subjects. Being able to share the experiences of parenting through discussion and fellowship has given the group support and strength in our everyday lives. Class members enjoy traditions like "Social Sunday" Breakfast on the last Sunday of each month and monthly social activities, both with and without children. Class members are active in many areas within the church and also participate in serveral mission opportunities throughout the year. Not handicapped accessible. |

Interactive small adult class of both single and married people that study a variety of topics with an emphasis on missions. We are currently studying the book of Job. Ages 30 and up. Not handicapped accessible. |

H.U.B., 200L
With the exception of one, the HUB Class ranges in age from 60's to 'young' 80's. Members are a mixture of employed and retired. All of us have grown children and most have grandchildren. Our class has had a variety of Sunday School teacherss this past year, both from within our members and from outside the class. Our realm of study is never set, as we are open to a wide variety of subjects. We have used church literature and spiritually inspired videos, as well as, and most importantly, the Bible. We re opinionated born from a wealth of experience, various careers, longevity and family sitiuations...but wer are NICE. We would like prospective new members to know we are a warm and caring group that has a lot of fun. We have no pre-requisites for new members to jion us nad we would love to have them for our class members. Handicapped accessible. |

Progressive, 206L
The Progressive Sunday School Class is a fellowship of single and married adults sharing the bounty of God's love with a common objective. As our class name suggests, we are committed to moving forward in ministry and upholding our fellow church members. We reach out in love to others within our congregation, city, nation and the world. Our class members are very active in the lay leadership of BUMC, serving on various standing and special committees serving as Sunday School teachers, participating in the music ministry and are church conference delegates. Our Sunday morning time together includes a few minutes of group fellowship, with coffee, followed by a lesson presented by one of the three to four team teachers from within our class. Group interaction is encouraged and our "progressive" nature often leads to spirited discussion. Please join us on Sunday mornings. Your will meet 45-55 warm, friendly people who will make you feel welcome, in addition to encouraging you to become part of our caring and committed group. Ages 50 and up. Handicapped accessible. |

Seekers, 220C
Our class is made up of couples and singles. Most of us have grown children or at least college age. Presently Ross Hamilton is teaching a series, "Women of the Bible." Our class holds socials several times a year which include Chili Cook-offs, touring Elmwood Cemetery, Chrstmas social/meal, eating out, and other events. We support various mission projects (ASP, Thanksgiving baskets, Missionaries in Guatemala, sponsor a child in India, school children, soldiers in foreign lands, and others). Ages 40+. Sunday Forum, 009S
An eclectic small group, age ranges between 30 and 70, who thrives on frank and open discussion on a variety of topics. We cover short Bible study series interspersed with one-day type of classes. In the past, we have covered topics ranging from the Rapture to The Book of James. We also discuss current events in our world and how they figure into the Bible and its teachings. Please join us for coffee and good Christian fellowship. We welcome all ages. Handicapped accessible. |

The Way is a Sunday School class comprised of a diverse group of people ranging in age from their 30's to their 70's. Our focus is primarily short-term Bible studies with application to everyday life. All adults age 18 and up are welcome. |

Fellowship Class, Cook Fellowship Hall
The Fellowship Class is a caring, supportive class with ages ranging from 30 and up. We have been studying the Bible straight through verse by verse and just finished after 13 years. We are currently starting a study about God that involves CS Lewis and Sigmond Freud. We encourage diverse observations and discussion. We support one another with prayer of our joys and concerns at the start of each class and with a prayer chain at home. We have socials throughout the year. Come and join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 for coffee, fellowship and God's word, studied in depth. Ages 30 and up. Handicapped Accessible. |
