 Children's Music
Our children's music program serves our young singers two years old through fifth grade. We sing hymns, Spirituals, classical pieces and gospel renditions that are appropriate for the ages of the children in each choir. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m, with special rehearsals scheduled before major performances.
Children in the music program particpate in Children's Sunday, our annual Christmas concert, Spring Fling and help lead Sunday morning worship on throughout the year. Older choristers also participate in a hymn sing, a children's variety concert, and a weekend choir tour.
A special time in the life of the church is the presentation of Methodist hymnals to every fifth grade choir member at the end of the year. |

 Chimes and Bells
We get them chiming and ringing early at Bartlett Methodist, helping to prepare our children for bell groups when they get older.
Students in second and third grade may participate in chimes. Students in fourth through fifth grade may ring handbells with Beginning Handbells, which also includes beginner adults who wish to learn how to ring. Members learn proper ringing technique and are working on pieces covering a variety of music types.
Participation in worship two to three times a year provides an opportunity to help the congregation praise God through instruments. Select groups also take part in the Children's Christmas Program, Children's Sunday and Spring Ring. |

 Special Programs
We have our children singing and ringing as much as possible. Children's Sunday is a special day when our children lead in worship.
Third through fifth grade choir members occassionally perform outside the church, particularly at nursing homes, as an outreach ministry of the church. In the spring, the older children's music group will have a mini-tour weekend to St. Louis.
Do your children want to head off to camp without leaving town? Then our summer music camp offering may be just the deal for them. Children who have completed first grade through fifth grade may attend a week-long program summer choir camp that provides more intense exposure to a variety of music, including singing, instruments, and special outings around town. |
