Dr. Stephen Shapard, Senior Minister Stephen C. Shapard became the Senior Minister of Bartlett UMC in June of 2007. Steve is a native Memphian. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lambuth University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He received his Doctor of Ministry in Wesleyan Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC. He has pastored churches across the Memphis Conference, including the Dexter-Hardin, Olive, Palestine circuit and the LaCenter-Pleasant Hill Extended Ministry in western Kentucky, Ellendale UMC in Bartlett, and St. Stephen UMC and Mullins UMC in Memphis. Steve loves running, racquetball, going to the movies with his wife Julie and playing with his grandchildren.
