Teams travel 30 hours to reach Nagpur, India. Upon arrival, they are greeted by the students of the Nagpur Bible College. They also begin to sort medicine they bring to use during the medical clinics. |
Medical clinics are held in villages where the Bible students hope to plant churches. Villagers come by bus, bike or walk miles to be seen by our American doctors. |
Each patient whether young or old, has to register by making an imprint of their thumb by their name. From there, their height, weight and pictures are taken for record purposes. |
Next, the patients blood pressure is taken and an assessment of their condition given before they see a doctor.
At most of the locations, space is tight so team members make do with what is available to them. |
Several of the Bible Students serve as interpreters for our doctors. Without their help, many diagnosis would go untreated. The doors to many hearts are also opened with a simple "May God Bless and Heal You." |
Doctors see many different illnesses from lerposy to elephantitis. However, most of our patients simply suffer from the aches and pains that come from hard daily living in India. |
Every patient that is seen in our clinic walks away with a bag of vitamins or a food bag that will feed a family of four for a month. But most important, the seed is planted for the people of India to know the love that Jesus Christ has for them. |
