Bartlett United Methodist offers a Kids' Day Out Program for ages 6 months through 3 years of age. The hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00am to 2:30pm. A child may come any two out of the three days, but not more than two. Children are not eligible is they are 3 before September 30 of the year they register. They would be eligible for the Preschool Program.
There are two Crib rooms. Crib I is age 6-12 months and Crib II is 13-18 months. Crib I has two teachers with 8 children and Crib II has two teachers with 9 children. All of our teachers are CPR trained and certified. Each room is designed and furnished with toys for their age groups. Although this section is predomininately childcare, we play music, dance, sing, and work with each individual child to further their developing skills. Weather permitting, we also take the children out for playground time or a walk in a bye-bye buggy.
Our Toddler section is divided into three groups. Toddler I is 19-24 months, Toddler II is 25-30 months, and Toddler III is 31+ months. There are twelve children and two teachers in each area. The children have story time, music, arts, crafts, and outdoor play. They have snack time in the morning and nap in the afternoon. The children are exposed to numbers, colors, and the alphabet. We emphasize socialization skills, which we feel enable the child to better cope with other school situations in the future.
Our staff is wonderfully qualified as teachers and mothers! We are very pleased to be able to offer this service to our community.
