At the beginning of each trip,
our teams worship at Puerta de la Salvacion
where in 1999 we helped lay a foundation.
Each year it is our delight to see the church
grow in numbers and leadership.

 During the 2004 & 2005 trips,
 BUMC mission teams
have built a Bath House
at the beach retreat.
Campers no longer have to
bathe in the lagoon!

 In 2004 the team worked to install 
plumbing and running water
to the sinks, toilets and showers. 
Lights and electricity were installed
during the 2005 trip.

Team members have used everything from
picks, hands and even a tin can to dig 
lines for running water and electricity
to the bath house and kitchen.

 In 2005, a Dining Hall was built however
due to weather and bad materials, it
had to be rebuild in 2007.  Today there is
a sturdy shelter so campers do not have
to eat in the hot sun!
