     BUMC Preschool has been established to provide a Christian environment in which young children may have experiences which will enable them to develop emotionally, socially, cognitively, and spiritually.  The goals of the Preschool are to help each child to develop:
- Confidence and self-reliance
- emotional and social behavior that is acceptable
to him/herself and to others
- an awareness of his/her own body and the need for personal hygiene, good nutrition, exercise and personal safety
- fine motor and gross motor skills
- an appreciation of art, music, books, and other languages
- intellectual skills that will aid him/her in future years
- individual creativity and independent thinking skills
- love for God and others


Class Information

The Preschool operates on a school year basis from late August until late May. Three and Four year old students are offered two programs:

1) Three days =Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am - 2:30pm

2) Two days = Tuesday and Thursdays from  9:00am-2:30pm.

We also offer a 5-day program for
4 & 5-year olds. Spanish lessons are taught on Monday and Thursday afternoons.

See the Preschool Calendar or call the Preschool at (901) 386-4651 for the exact dates of registration or for other information.  

 

     Entrance Requirements:

(1) The child's age on September 30 is used for class placement.

(2) The child must be completely toilet trained.

(3) All paper work, including medical releases and emergency information are due at registration.  Immunization records are due by August 1. 

At registration a non-refundable registration fee and an advance payment of tuition for the last month of attendance is required.  The advance tuition payment is refundable until August 1 upon receipt of written notice of withdrawal.
