Special EventsThe Outreach Department of Bartlett UMC offers a variety of different areas to volunteer. However, we are host to some very Special Events throughout the year.
Bartlett Day of CaringEach year, BUMC as held a Day of Caring - a time in which our members offer a helping hand to our own congregational members. In 2005 however, we were joined by Fullview Baptist Church as two churches came together as one body to help members of both congregations as well as the Bartlett Community. We look forward to the continued growth of this event as more churches in the Bartlett area join us.
Preemie PartyOnce a year, the doctors and nurses of the ICU Neo-Natal unit at Methodist North Hospital held a reunion of all babies born on their floor since it's opening 14 years ago. In 2004, Bartlett UMC began hosting the event so that the nurses and doctors could visit more with families and catch up on the progress of their young patients. The day is full of face-painting, games, and food but mostly it is a time for rejoicing at the progress of God's Littlest Angels.
Manners and Memory Class Manners are more than using the right fork. They are using the right attitude! And attitude affects our relationships much more than our etiquette. This is what our young people learn each year at the M&M class where table setting, conversation and manners are taught. After class, there is a final exam of hosting a table during an intergenerational sit-down dinner for our adult special guests.
