The Youth Music at Bartlett Methodist has a long history and strong reputation of being a welcoming place for youth to make music together. It is also a great place to meet new friends! Crossroads Choir Tour - Chicago & Minneapolis
CROSSROADS YOUTH CHOIR
Bartlett Methodist is blessed to have the leadership of the Crossroads Youth Choir (6th-12th grades). Crossroads Choir leads music in worship about once a month. In addition, Crossroads also hosts a magnificent Madrigal Dinner, leads the Easter Sunrise Service, and goes on a week-long Choir Tour in the Summer. For over 20 years, this choir has toured all over the United States including: Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Maryland, and New York. In 2009, Crossroads was thrilled to tour to the sunny state of FLORIDA!!! Check out the awesome photos of past choir tours by clicking here. The Crossroads Choir sings a wide variety of music including traditional, contemporary, and world music. All 6th - 12th graders are welcome to join. Crossroads practices on Sundays @ 4pm in the music suite. No audition is necessary. Currently, there are about 100 singers in Crossroads, but we always welcome more!
Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir is a talented group of youth singers (open to 6th-12th graders) that enjoys challenging music and praising God. Chamber Choir singers have high standards and are leaders within the other youth choirs. Auditions before a panel of judges are required to be in this group. Rehearsals are TBD with the group.
INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE
A wonderful addition to worship services at BUMC is the Intergenerational Instrumental Ensemble. This group is open to all ages, 7th grade and up. We welcome all instrumentalists, from beginner to professional. Throughout the year, these musicians enhance worship services with their talent. We are a diverse group of beginners to professionals. Rehearsals are scheduled seasonally. Please watch the church newsletter & bulletin for more information.

YOUTH HANDBELLS
Youth Handbells are for 6th - 12th graders who ring handbells or want to learn how. Youth Handbells ring in worship throughout the year, plus participate in the Madrigal Dinner, Easter Sunrise Service, and Spring Ring. No previous ringing experience is necessary, but knowing how to read music helps. *Adult ringers are welcome to be a part of these bell ensembles if there are spots available.
SKITTLZ CHRISTIAN DRAMA GROUP
The Skittlz Christian Drama Group is open to any 6th - 12th grader bitten by the acting bug. No experience is necessary, both shy and outgoing people are welcome to act with the group. Throughout the year, Skittlz works on skits for Crossroads Choir Tour, Madrigal, and for special worship services. Rehearsals are Wednesdays @ 7pm in room 002S when scheduled.
