Bartlett United Methodist Church would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new Youth Director, Josh Shaw!

Josh comes to Bartlett UMC with a deep love for young people, a heart for discipleship, and a strong commitment to helping the next generation grow in faith, leadership, and connection to the church.
He brings ministry experience from across multiple levels of The United Methodist Church, including service in the local church, Annual Conference leadership, and participation in both General and Jurisdictional Conference work.
Josh has demonstrated a passion for creating meaningful spaces where youth and young adults feel seen, valued, and empowered to live out their faith. His ministry focuses on building authentic relationships, developing young leaders, strengthening worship participation, and helping students and young adults discover their God-given gifts.
In addition to his local church experience, Josh has been actively involved with Lakeshore Camp & Retreat Center, where he has helped support transformational camp and retreat experiences for children, youth, and families. He also serves on the United Methodist Camp & Retreat Ministries Board of Directors, supporting the continued growth and impact of camping and retreat ministries across the denomination.
Josh is also completing his first year at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Youth Ministries with an Emphasis in Community Ministries. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his 2 dogs Queen & Champ, 16 nieces and nephews, and dancing to Bruno Mars.
