Appalachia Service Project

The Appalachia Service Project is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in Central Appalachia. The mission was started by Tex Evans, a Methodist minister. Bartlett United Methodist Church has supported the ASP ministry for this being our 40th year. It is a VITAL ministry in the life of our church. All youth having graduated the 9th grade, college students and adults members and non-members are welcome to be a part of this amazing mission. Just a few days at ASP transforms the lives of those who come to serve. Those that serve at ASP return home with a passion for putting their faith into action with a renewed compassion for other people, and a fresh appreciation for your place and purpose in this world.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students in the U.S. and around the world unite to do the Famine. This year our Youth will be doing the famine on April 9-10. They will learn about hunger, raise funds to help the hungry, and then go hungry yourselves for 30 hours. Through the Famine, our youth will  grow closer to Christ and each other -- all while helping to save the lives of hungry kids.    Please pray for them and consider making a donation for this event. You can designate the funding to particular youth sponsorship.   All funds will go directly to World Vision to help our brothers and sisters in Christ in need.
